Innocence
For this
project I was inspired by something that happened to me recently. I had to pour
glue on my hands and peel it off because I got cactus needles stuck to me.
Doing that reminded me of my childhood and made me think how different it felt
doing as an adult.
Everybody
used to pour glue on their hands as kids when they were bored. It’s an
extremely satisfying feeling to peel it off and I wanted to record myself doing
that because it’s something everybody could relate to and enjoy watching. The
video is meant to be somewhat meditative and satisfying to watch. I used
different angles to give variety to the action.
The Elmer’s
glue and the childish act itself represents me reliving my childhood and my
innocence and in the end peeling it off. I am physically peeling off my
innocence in the video.
