  For this project, I wanted to venture into the space between a narrative and a non-narrative. I wanted to create a soundscape that could be seen as a story, but not too obviously. I was inspired by the science fiction student project played in class, and so I decided to play with that as well. I chose to make my soundscape about aliens, but not into a horror story. I wanted to play with the idea of aliens and humans living in the same space.  
  The soundscape open up with the sound of somebody turning on a car, a sound we all know and interact with on a day to day basis. The sounds of a car driving are calming, and at the beginning there is no suspicion of something being different. The radio static comes in as a way to foreshadow. The piece centers on these radio static sounds. I chose the static sounds because they give a sense of mystery without giving away the obvious. There is no sense of horror or of anxiety in the piece, just the feel of a presence of an alien race. The car continues driving without being harmed or phased by the aliens. The radio static plays in and out to keep the piece and balanced in both worlds, the world of something alien and the human world.
