with and within the existential goddess
The mirror image can either prove existentialism or question it. Both men and women have a relationship with the mirror image, but the image of women is beauty, or supposed to be. The expectations of women now are very different from what they were 40 years ago, but are they any easier on women? Since women have gained more opportunity, the stakes are higher. We are supposed to be independent, successful, and sexy. Women are to be goddesses. The unattainable "photoshop-sexy" has women criticizing the goddess within, and men criticize the exterior goddess.
On the other hand, women love to feel sexy, and we are. The question is, can society handle it when we realize that? Can it handle the tiger once its out of the cage? Keep pushing the woman to make her unleash; you may not be able to handle it. You may regret it.
The paradox between self-consciousness and confidence exists within everyone, and this video is a description of that struggle. The character in this video both loves and hates the goddess. The oscillating relationship with the mirror image causes chaos. Being a goddess leads to boredom; no one can possibly entertain her - she's just too much. Keeping up is exhausting. Can't a goddess just be a woman?
